A tale recounting what women want.
a young, prince james was kidnapped and confined behind bars by an rival king, the idea was to murder the young prince but the king was softened by the young mans genial youthfulness. So the king offered the prince the chance to regain his freedom. James would have two years to concieve an answer to a rediculous question and if within that time, he had not come up with the answer he would be doomed to beheading.
The stinger was: “What is it that women desire?”
Now this questions has been asked since the beginning of man and no one has ever found the truth. This was the kings way of an assured success in vanquishing his enemy. And the young prince assumed he was doomed to perish at the hand of his enemies axe weilding executioner.
seeing as he was being granted another two years to live he accepted his enemies offer, with little hope of survival.
he returned to his mothers kingdom and set up a poll. all people in his kingdom were to vote on the most likely answer.
this venture failed so he took to persally asking everyone he could; his sister, his fiancee, the prostitutes, priests, wise-men and clerics. The jester and the queen herself. To his dismay, no one could give him a respectable answer.
The seemingly unified response from everyone was for him to query the old hag who lived outside the castle on the edge of the forest. She was the only one who knew all.
This he put off, and kept putting it off as this witch was knowledgeable, but her knowledge came at a price. The last day of his two years of freedom came and as a last resort he threw himself at the old hags door. She said that she would grant him the answer to his question but he first must agree to to her price. Anything! is what he thought, but her request was to marry his younger brother. His best friend and best knight in the kingdom, Prince Luke.
He took one look at the disgusting, repungent, hideous creature who had only one tooth and smelled like the stagnant waste water of the moat that surrounded the castle. She would fart and make noises that would make you cringe and send shivers up your spine. Never in his life had he seen such a repulsive being… he wouldn’t wish the marriage to this hag on his worst enemy.
