A woman’s journey to self discovery.

We have all heard about Sybil, and thought that the idea of multiple personalities living within outrselves is a little bit absurd, but it is a strong reality for some people. When Rabbit Howls is a documentation of one woman’s journey into discovering her many selves. Truddi Chase, seemed like any other woman; she had a successful job, a child and was divorced. Sure, she may have had some mood swings and loss of memory, but the real problem lies within her past.

Since the age of two, Truddi was repeatedly sexually abused and raped by her step father, and physically abused by her mother. With no where to turn but herself, Truddi’s personalities continually multiplied in order to protect herself from the whole ordeal. As many may or may not know, the average person with this disorder has about 12-15 personalities. Truddi has over 90, and they call themselves the troops, each having their own particular job. As she is put into intesive therapy with Dr. Phillips, to whom the troops refer to as “Stanley”, Truddi and the troops find their world slowly deteriorating as they are forced into confrontation with everything they have had compartmentalized for so long.

This book is reccommended for anybody curious about the subject and looking for a different sort of adventure in somebody else’s shoes.
