Your help is needed in this post card campaign. Emily is my niece who is a world traveler and I need your help sending cards from around the world to see how many miles she can log before December.
OK, for those of you that know me personally or have read some of my articles on line you know I am an adventurous type. With that said I am holding an event to see how many post cards can be received from all of you my friends from around the world. The story: Once upon a time there were three sisters and a brother. The youngest sister decided a couple years ago that our birthdays should be celebrated together just us siblings. We would either have a birthday breakfast together or brunch which ever we chose. We had adventures on four wheelers at the river where we grew up, to pancake parlors. The drink of the day was chosen by the person whose birthday it was. It was a great new tradition and things began very well.Through the years like everyone else we all got very busy with life in general and the time we spent together as siblings basically was on holidays, so these four extra days gave us more time together and it was sensational. Now our birthdays fall in December, January, April, and September. So from April till September my youngest sister said was way to long to wait for a birthday party, so we began to plan. We decided that we would make up another sibling. Now my youngest sister and I have children but my older sister and brother never had any of their own, so my eldest sister decided that she should have a daughter…thus Emily was born and another birthday party was held in June to break up the long wait for September. On June 19, 2011 we made Emily from cardboard with special instructions from my older sister as to what she should look like. ( The photo in this article is Emily) Now, Emily loves to travel and lives on an Island in the South Pacific so on June 19th the story goes that she flew in on the red eye the morning of the party to celebrate with her mom and aunties. The new member of the family also gets passed on to the next person who is going to have a birthday, and yes, it is my turn. I have her until December 9th when I must pass her on to my oldest sister and she will be with her until January. My sisters live in a very small town and have never traveled much so while I have Emily with me I have taken photo’s of her in various places doing various things and sent my sisters letters from her and pictures telling them what she has been doing since she has been with me. Now comes your part…. I would love it if you could send a postcard from Emily to my sisters from where you live and what adventures Emily has been getting herself into. I put their addresses at the bottom of this note and let you know who is who Auntie and Mom. If you can only send one that’s fine too. I want to see how many miles Emily can log and how many countries she can visit before December. There is no place too close or too far. Oh and for those who know my family or are family that read my articles…shhhhhhhhhhhh this is a secret! I have also created an event for Emily on my face book page for those of my friends on Triond that are also on my face book page. I don’t want my sisters to know about this campaign and I will not tell them anything until I return Emily on Dec. 9Th. Once you send a postcard please come to this page or my event page on Face book and leave me a message to me so I know where you live and your real name ( not Emily…lol ) so I can see where my niece is traveling and who she has been spending her time with. Now lets get this party started….
