A short story for children about fairys and easter. Took from my new book comming out soon.
I’m whisper I visit all the children on Easter Day as I travel with the Easter Bunny. It’s my job to ensure that all you children get one special egg on Easter day. This is because in fairyland we spend all year making chocolate eggs for everyone including grown ups. For those that can’t have chocolate we make special Easter gifts. The fairies only make tiny eggs the size of a normal egg you get from a chicken as we have so many to carry.
The Easter bunny allows me to place all the eggs into his special magic basket and I sit on the top looking for all the children’s gardens and homes. Sometimes I have to climb drainpipes to get into your home. If you’re lucky and it’s cold outside I creep into the house and leave the egg somewhere for you to find. I hide them to make the day fun, as every day should be happy and full of lovely surprises.
In the following years perhaps you would like to help us by collecting all your old newspapers and used paper together and put it out for the paper person to collect for us. Some of you may be able to take the paper to a recycle bin.
Try to remember all the paper you collect make Easter egg wrappers for all the children around the world, and it takes hundreds of fairies to wash and clean the paper and decorate it for the chocolate eggs each year.
At Easter perhaps you’ll see me because I shimmer like raindrops, as I’m dressed in pearl colored clothes with beads upon my head.
Remember to recycle your paper rubbish to help us fairies. You can also decorate hard boiled eggs to put on display during Easter.
Here’s how
Ask a grown up to boil an egg until it’s hard.
Allow it to cool while you get your glue and glitter.
You can also use paint and crayons if you wish.
Decorate it how you want.
When finished cover it in a thin layer of glue so the pattern you created stays on.
All finished doesn’t it look good!
