This is just a short fun story I made up about why Pigs Can’t Fly. It’s based on Mythology.

Long ago beautiful, majestic, pink pigs could fly  They could come and go between the mortal and immortal worlds.  Pigdusa, the goddess of pigs is the mother pig of all pigs.  She gave birth to all pigs in the world.

Every time a pink pig was born Pigdusa would choose the boldest of all and give them wings.  They would be the royal messengers for the god.  Sending messages all around the world.

One day when the mother pig failed to send an urgent message in time.  World War I started.  The gods were furious at Pigdusa and took away her wings.  What the gods didn’t know was her piglets’ wings disappeared as well.

Since the gods still needed messengers, they used Santa’s reindeer.  The only thing was they had to “share” the reindeer.  All the gods hated to share o they decided to give Pigdusa another chance.

Pigdusa had to fulfill an extremely difficult task of changing a god’s light bulb.  Until Pigdusa can fulfill this task the pink pigs shall stay flightless in the mortal world.  Waiting for their mother to complete her task.
