The Mystery of life.
There are events in our lives that simply take its course no matter how hard we tried to control them. Happenings that are obviously “ABNORMAL” in the sense that it defies what we really have expected as the result of our conscious and calculated effort.
Late this afternoon, I started making my wind turbine prototype out from an old washing machine’s electric motor. It was a funny yet terrible experience since I already knew that I don’t have enough technical know-how in electronics and electrical matters.
I dismantled the said motor and then painstakingly remove its rotor and put 8 magnets around it. I then re-assembled the entire thing ( per instruction found in YOU TUBE ) and minutes later – THE MOMENT OF TRUTH.
Surprisingly, It DIDN’T WORK !
Last night we were called by one of our siblings to immediately proceed to the hospital where our father was confined. Upon our arrival, the first thing that captured our attention was a very ill man whose eyes were closed and grasping for air to breathe.
A man who was once a very active farmer and a very devoted husband who managed to send all his 9 children to school…
It was a helpless man bombarded with anti-biotics to arrest possible infections in his
lungs…
A cancer victim whose spirit is as strong as a centennial tree…
And a father to us All…
Bringing back the memories, I can still recall how active my father was in terms of farming. He taught me everything that the child needed to know. Though he is not that religious as a Christian but his life is grounded by the principle of justice and honesty.
After all these years, we thought that the hard work and pain of our father for providing us food, shelter and education, will be finally compensated by us, but then we were absolutely wrong.
Like my Wind Turbine, No matter what we do, still there are happenings that will challenge the expected result that we desired for. Worst if we don’t have enough “Technical Know-How” in the mystery that we commonly called LIFE.
