A fiction Halloween story.

The four witches of East, West, North and South would gather this night. The witches had done so in many generations. The witch of the East had short blue hair and dark blue eyes her name was Uko. Uko had on a long blue witch like costume. The witch of the West had short brown eyes and yellow eyes like a cat her name was Mellissa. Mellissa’s outfit was much more modern then the other witches she had on a short brown mini skirt and a white tang top. Mellissa’s hands were covered in black lace. The witch of North had long red hair and light cyan eyes her name was Sage. Sage had on a black trench coat and had on all black her style clearly that of the gothic kind. The last witch the witch of the south was name Lillian she had blonde hair and blue eyes. Lillian had on a pink dress and one would not guess she was a witch in fact she may have seen more like a perfect princess. She had on light brown boots and a white fur coat.

Uko was to bring the candles for the gathering. In Uko’s bag were red, white, blue, black, green, light blue candles. Each candle stood for something. The red candle represented the element of fire. The blue candle meant the element of water. The light blue candle stood for the element of air. The white and black candles represent light and darkness.  Mellissa was to bring the animals but no arm would come to animals. Mellissa had chosen a fox, a dove, a sea turtle, a raven, a squirrel, and a butterfly. Sage was to bring incents. Lillian was to bring the spell book.

The four witches ran up together and spoke among themselves for they were very close friends. Halloween was the one day they could be themselves and not hide their powers for everyone would think it was part of the season. The four were like blood sisters close like their mother’s before them. Their mothers had passed on the secret of the coven to them. The interesting was in each generation on one child was chosen to carry on the writes to do magic though all with the name carried the power.

Once the four were done talking the placed the book in the center and placed all the objects in the star shaped as it was custom to do. The four then began to chant to the four elements. The four would ask for mother Gaia’s blessing. They would also ask the goddess Luna to protect them. They felt one with all that was part of this world. For witches believe everything is connected. The witches believe in the rule of three, and that means for anything you ask for you must pay for in three.
