College entrance essay.

The other day, I lived in Atlantis. Ariel and I explored lost treasures, forever missing from other worlds. My mind was like a sponge, soaking up every new idea put in front of me. I clung to the notions of fantasies and true love that never fades. I conjured up ideas  of creating an uncharted world. A place where no one could influence my creativity. A place full of free-thinking and curiosity. I let my imagination run wild. What would it feel like to have flippers instead of feet, to be a completely different person than the one I was destined to be? Along with Ariel, I searched for my identity in a world where I felt out of place. Curiosity and confusion drove me. What if tomorrow, I woke up in a different life? My mind absorbed the ‘what if’s’ like the sun does moisture on a blisteringly sunny day.
At the moment, I await an alien ship with Douglas Adams. We silently watch the world in which we were created disappear beneath our feet. Together, we speed away from the familiar and into the exciting unknown in a white, spherical pod. Our preconceptions of the world are shattered and now we are off to make new notions about the environment in which we are now surrounded. Thus far, life has been simple. Now, with Adam’s by my side, I’m making my firsts steps towards individuality.
In times to come, I will call Boston, New England Colony my home. Hester Prynne, Nathaniel Hawthorne and I will sit and share a warm cup of tea. We will chat about town affairs and our ideals about the world and our lives. I will dance to the beat of my own drummer. I will record the events in my life with an exaggerated flair. I will be my own person, strong and charismatic.
I continuously venture to all of these places. Past, present and future. Learning from each character’s unique story; creating unexplored fantasies turned dreams. I will blindly follow my convictions and not societies ideals, Then, together we will take our first leap of faith, because we know one of two things will happen: either we will land on solid ground or learn how to fly.
