Junrey Balawing, was declared the world’s shortest man in the world by Gunnies’ book of world records 2011. He belongs to Philippines and on his 18th birth day he was declared as a world’s shortest man. He stopped growing when he was two year old. He measures to be 59.93 centimeters and he is weighing about 11 pounds. He is oldest among his siblings. The local doctors who examined him could not diagnose the problem. Because of their poverty they didn’t go to further diagnosis. 

The title was bestowed on him in Sindangan in South Philippines, with his parents, villagers and officials showering the coastal town’s newly famous resident with a feast of roasted pigs and seafood, cake, balloons and cash gifts.
