You’re not perfect but you are perfect for me
If some of my terms concern you
If some of my philosophies alarm you
Rest assured my Friend you are Worthy
Yes, my standards are non-typical
I am mentally high maintenance
Mentally incline toward a 23rd Century
Engineer disposed instead of gossip posed
Rest assured my Friend you are Worthy
I am a communicator
I send thoughts and views my way
I write to suit me, literature sometimes
Takes a back seat trying to guide me
I am developing the utmost respect for you
I’m surely glad to know of you
The way your thoughts smile at me
How you express and consider my feelings
Accepting who I am means so much to me
Rest assured my Friend you are Worthy
You are long distant, yet, you know how to keep me
You have given me a baby bottle of nutrition
I’m ready for a little table food and, as a reward
A Hershey’s Kiss with Almonds and a Friendship Ring
Rest assured my Friend you are Worthy
If I’m a good girl; I’m sure you’ll give me
So much more, surely more than I hope for
The way your words smile at me heals me
My humor may be a vice but I’m thrice as nice
Rest assured my Friend you are Worthy
Some friendships sail for a while
Some friendships banish out of sight
Some friendships make it through thick and thin
Some best friends eventually come to an end
Perhaps they forget to remind each other
Rest assured you are worthy my friend
You may not be perfect but you are perfect for me!
