Before I Begin; Introduction.

Dearest Readers,

As you probably already know, my name is ZagBag. I am here to exercise my creative side, and have chosen to do so by writing a sort of mini-series, entitled “Jeremy Cricket.” I will be creating a new segment of the story every week, and posting it as a new article. If you are interested in following my series, whose genre has not been decided yet, you can read this short “teaser” of the plot.

The third of May. The morning Jerry Thorn Jr. has been dreaming of for the past Twenty-Seven years. The day he is released from the Northhill Hospital for the Mentally Insane. The eldest of four children, Jerry was the first to move out of his parent’s home. His life was turned upside down when on the night of June twenty fifth, Twenty-Seven years ago, Jerry was returning to his parent’s house for a surprise visit. The sky was clear on this crisp summer night, and Jerry could hear the sounds of the crickets, playing their songs to the heavens. He knocked at the door, but there was no answer. He unlocked the door with his key, and found to his horror, the bodies of his mother, two brothers, and his sister, lying on the floor covered in blood, as well as his father, hanging from the chandelier. Jerry could barely hold back his vomit as he gazed upon the thousands of maggots inhabiting his family’s corpses. Jerry spotted a note on the ground below his father’s lifeless feet. He picked it up, but could not concentrate because of the noise. The noise of the thousands of maggots inhabiting the corpses of his family, as if all were feasting on the flesh in unison, taunting him, perhaps mimicking the sounds of the crickets that play their songs just a few feet away. He pulled himself together, and began to read.

I hope that you find my storyline interesting. Also, I would appreciate if you left me feedback, either in comments or on my profile, saying what you like/dislike about the story. Please no spelling or grammatical errors though, because I usually have them for a reason. I thank you for your time, and hope you will begin reading my story as soon as I get Part One online.
