I wrote this a year after September 11th

A poem I found in an old school book, dated 2001!

Let us pray in our own fashion, that our new President will keep us safe.

The day will always live in our memory, for those who helped it will be a time that we came together as a nation to help, to find survivors. It showed the world that Americans come together in difficult times, and we will rebuild!

Most of us remember that day, and everyone wants to blame someone. Now is not the time to lay blame, now is the time to make sure it does not happen again.

I wrote this in December following the tragedy of 9/11 to honor those victims and the true American spirit.

How September 11, 2001 changed this once ordinary day forever.

The incident left a deep imprint thereafter: I recognized that the material is transitory, the spiritual is forever. I learned through example that prayers, spiritual sustenance and a loving atmosphere at home really represent the foundation of life.
