Although this writing of mine is a bit dark and deep, there is a certain time during my childhood that this was who I was. An angry teenage girl, "Daddy’s Girl" who was abandoned by her dad and also left standing isolated to inform her Mom that her husband of 26 years decided to leave her and wasn’t planning on returning. Little did we know, this was just the beginning of the continued drama for the next five years. Stay tuned……

A friend once gave me a black and white photograph of a violin lying on a jumble pile at a garage sale. He asked me to write a poem to go with the photo and here it is.

I felt so lost.

Sixteen year old, Daniel Bryne, has had a rough life leading up to now. Her mother had an affair with a co-worker, and got pregnant with Daniel. James, her twenty-one year old, half brother, may seem like a caring brother, but actually hates her. James’ father, left them, leaving them alone. This short story is about a series of events that happen to Daniel.

This isn’t really a poem. It’s a mere thought of abandonment.
