Recently a writing challenge was announced in the Triond forum. The rules were simple: one had to write an article, poem or story, etc. containing the terms ‘chaos’ and ‘ebony amulet’. Here, I’ve written a couple of poems, a haiku and a limerick containing the terms. Read and enjoy!

Ebony is a general name for very dense black wood.
Amulet is a piece of jewelry that supposedly protects its wearer against evil, injury, disease, or bad luck.
Chaos is what ensues when said Ebony Amulet finds its way into the wrong hands. But that’s another story.
