Bipolar disorder patients suffer from episodes of depression and mania or hypomania. This put them in a state where they loose days at a time, and sometimes can not remember if it is day or night. A lack of sleep makes this even worse. This is a poem of my personal account of mania, and its effect.

When manic one tends to forget to sleep and in that proccess, looses track with night and day!!!

A True Story:

So, I am 17. Since I was 11, I was diagnosed with bipolar-disorder. Until I was 13, I basically rebelled against everything that conformity stood for. At 13 I outcasted myself. Started smoking and drinking.

I am the type of girl who knows how to act. I have manners, I understand politics, I do what I’m told. I’m Aldo, the type of girl that wears a mask every minute of the day. I’ve learned over the past four years who people want and what people like so that’s what I do.
