Personal experience with family member with borderline personality disorder. After his suicide, his life of homosexual affairs and self loathing shocked his wife, his children, and the church of which he was a prominent member.

Maybe you’ll understand this, maybe you wont. I really couldn’t tell you if this is something normal people experience or not, but I have. I’m torn between what is right and what I want, and sometimes I’m incapable of even distinguishing the two.
