Continue ReadingThis poem is about a boxer who is taking a beating in the middle of a match and also fighting with himself on the decidion to stay and fight or quit.To me it was actually a symbol of a life struggle, and it could also represent each of our unique problems and our decisions to keep at something or just give up. I wrote it making the boxer and the reader the same person so as to almost put you right in the fight and force the reader to make the decision at the end for themselves if they would fight on through a tough problem or quit while they are still alive.
