I recently wrote this poem about sitting in the hospital with my brother when he had brain cancer. It sort of happened in a stream-of-consciousness moment, and I kept it just the way it was. I didn’t know it was going to wrap back around to the final lines of my best poem, written years ago, "Impending Spring." I’m glad I finally wrote this.
