Too much laughter without thinking
Of the other person’s tears —-

For my brothers in 3rd Platoon, A Company, 5th Battalion/87th Infantry Regiment.

A poem on the matyrs of the cause of progress.

The empty vessel of egotism must sound hollow. There are those that think that they are on top of the heap, when, in fact, they should be half way down or at the bottom.

While we experience joy and laughter, there are those that weep and in live in squalor. We must not overlook their plight, but extend our sympathy and material assistance, by way of alleviating their problem.
