People always think this is a song about a particular girl, but when I wrote it I was trying to describe the way I felt as a young man full of hormones and unable to sit at home on Friday night when I knew “they” were out there.

This came about the first time I realized that often times we don’t fall in love with what the object of our affection is, but rather what we perceive or wish them to be.

This is about the endless parade of doors that we choose to pass or not pass through every second of our lives.

This is simply about things I love in this wonderful world and a way for me to have them all there for me when I need to remember.
