Just something I wrote for my English class.

This poem, which is in the Tanka form, is based on a true incident, when my car crashed into another car in front of me because my brakes went out. I can make a joke from this experience now, but I certainly couldn’t do it at the time of the accident!!!

I was almost killed for a dollar bill. I was distracted by a dollar bill on the floorboard of my car and swerved off the side of the road.

I have known some alcoholics. My uncle, my brother and a neighbor, to name a few….
