Caramel Haiku.

My third text conversation I put up. No names, just initials.

This is a poem about an urban love affair.

Celebrating the epistemology of the epidermis.
The complexity of my own complexion.
The sweet sin of my savory skin … outside.
And within.

Toffee.

FOR ALL YOU ‘PUN’-DITS –
There are 53 words in the story for you to find. They all have something to do with a FRUIT, CANDY, a PUDDING or a COOKIE. Some are in plain sight, some are hidden. Some of the words are repeated – but they still count!

This is a man describing and comparing his love to many different things. Such as the sea, Petal, and how she is the perfect woman created by god.

Caramel is a candy made out of sugar. There are many sorts of sugar for example from the Maple leaf only available in Canada, the Beets from France, Potatoes from Poland or Sugar Cane from Louisiana. This is just an example.

Perhaps while we might find it necessary, artificial sweeteners and the like and artificial flavours can give life some pizazz but they pale when faced with the real thing. Maybe talking food… but maybe life too. Real heaven yet to come.

Though my son is not the same color of skin as me, he is everything that I am.
