Knowing about Mount Mary Fair and Enjoying the same. The Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount, more commonly known as Mount Mary, is a Roman Catholic church, situated in West Bandra past Hill Road. Mumbai, India. It was built by the Portuguese in 1640. The feast of St. Mary is celebrated on the Sunday following eight September, the birthday of the Virgin Mary. There is a week long celebration known as the Bandra Fair. People of Mumbai regardless of caste, creed, and religion offer prayers during the week-long celebrations.
