This is a poem I wrote in 2001 for my poetry unit in middle school. The assignment was to write a poem about picture we were given, it was a picture that portrayed war.

Like so much in American life, the standard clothing sizes we use today can be followed back to the Civilian War. If that answer goes glib, it isn’t meant to be. The Civil War was the pivotal event in American history, seeing a conversion to the advanced era, and heralding varies that stood until the 1940s.

The boys in blue and gray fought like heroes on November 25th 1863 during the battle of Missionary Ridge in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This article will inspire you and help you appreciate that sacrifice that was made by young men during our nation’s bloodiest war.
