35 of 50 haiku poems written on Friday, July 1, 2011 to document the day my husband had surgery. Each haiku deals with something that was around me that day from the time I left that morning until we were home and finally went to sleep.

There are things in this world that we really can’t explain. Some are still mysteries to us, are these fate or just a plain coincidence?

This is a bit of an awkward situation and a coincidence. It’s funny how you can run into someone you think you may never meet when you least expect it.
