A poem I have created based upon Carol Ann Duffy’s conceit poem "Valentine"

This poem is a conceit about the links between a black hole somewhere in the universe and a depression leading to withdrawal and death of the protagonist in the poem.

An irrational buldozer of rushing thoughts, in a poetical expression.

I wanted to write a poem using alliteration. But I kept on procrastinating, which led to possibly the greatest ideas of my writing career:

Write a poem about procrastination (genius, huh. I bet it’s never been done before).

The trendy is drunk with fame and success. Then forget that they were once being sniffed at because they belonged to the common group. They become so full of themselves. Like horse flies who feed on the blood of animals and bit painfully.

This poem is about falling and the bittersweet ending.

Poem about a broken relationship.

I dedicate this conceit and elegy to the 228 victims of Air France Flight 447 – may Our Lady of Aparecida pray for the repose of the victims and the consolation of their families.
