A poem I wrote a while ago, although it’s subject matter currently holds true.

This piece is actually a combination of two poems. The first part portrays a deep sense of inner conflict. It gives a glimpse of pain that usually goes unseen and therefore leaves a feeling of unappreciation. The second part offers a remedy, an answer to a call for help that was never made.

Part 2..

He’s back again, Jake, deceiver of Air. I let it happen, in wanting to prove that things could go better the second time around with someone else out of the way that might have caused the end of our first relationship. As I later learn, we were destined to fail. But this is how I was perceiving things at the time in Part 2, the final bit to these poems.

Part one…

A guy I let go of tried to kiss me again after tearing my heart out the first time. His name is Jake, and I learned the hard way to not go back and give second chances to deceivers. I have had three deceivers: Fire, Earth, and Air. All having their different stories. This is the tale of Air.

Conflicted.

You can’t stop your lover from taking back their freedom.

Obsessions are tough to break.

Not every prayer can get answered.

This is the third journal of four from a more complicated time in my life.
