This poem was written after the tragedy of one of my good friends who also happened to be a co-worker and the fiance’ of my cousin and father to their daughter. He was coming back from a funeral on his motorcycle and a jeep cut him and he flew into a pole head first dying instantly. This happened on May 26, 2006 and my life has never been the same since. I wrote this poem for his daughter Giana who was 18 mths when he died. I put myself in her position as to what it would be like growing up with a father who has passed away.
