Envy doesn’t suit anybody.

An article about envy. A disclosure of the author’s own point of view on the subject matter.

I wrote this during my college years. It is based on an encounter I had with a couple of friends around the neighborhood.

Envy is the third feeling I chose for my first set of tankas, which I have categorized as Emotions. In my opinion, a person may be able to fully express his enviousness (especially to another person or perhaps any other particular individual for that matter) through his or her eyes alone as described in the following poem.

I was seventeen, she was fourteen. And although I was older, I was positive I wanted to be just like her.

On available possibilities, which are not destined to be.
