Douglas is a year old. Remembering the day he was born.

Whew! It has been a long nine months! We took our Lamaze classes and I did really good except for when they showed the films.

Watching a baby being born, is like nothing I have ever experienced. Each time I watch a newborn come into our world I am so grateful that I was there to empower the mother, support the father and just be part of something so wonderful.

Oh how I was inspired, by the sight of such a beautiful baby, and the glow of her mother as the nurse helped me bring the baby closer to her mother. The sight of another woman, giving it her all to bring this baby forth, the joy within my heart.

My daughter is the crowning glory of my life’s achievements so far. To honor my love for her and to put a tiara on my Tiara, so to speak, here is a laudation to that day she came and stole my heart.
