Someone lacking forward momentum in their life.

This is a poem I made in school. Please comment and tell me your interpretation and any suggestions, etc. It’s about a dream where this orphan looks down and sees the world as a shadow and she’s debating if running away was a good thing, then she grows confident in herself and she looks down and sees the world full of color. This is a magazine poem (a poem made from magazine clippings) so I tried hard to make it flow and clear.

Never stop trying at life’s many changes and endeavors, only just briefly to catch your breath and begin again.

Time and chance are not always a given.
