This poem is an example of an oxymoron poem. An oxymoron is when two terms contradict one another. A peaceful war is a contradictory term.

This is a poem I wrote in 2008 for an English class of mine; I was reflecting on my life and burdens I had to bear.

To make people think about things before they post another song, love message, sports score, quote, etc. on Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Etc.

With consternation your wind of flames blew into my heart but ended up enlightening our destiny.

A lover bemoans the fact that the one he loves has ran off on a cold winter’s day and that he may lose her. He beseeches her to make haste and return to him and make his day.
