Miles to go before I sleep… seems to be the theme of this poem.

It’s not about how you fall

But how you land defines you.

This poem talks about learning to fly solo, but it isn’t really referring to learning to fly an airplane. It is about growing up, coming of age, soaring into the future, spreading wings and taking flight into life.

This would what I had hoped would be, a dream come true when I visited America. Little was I to know it would turn out to be a nightmare.
