This poem is one I wrote about forbidden love and the pain it causes. I go on to describe that the love and pain is with you like a shadow, even in your dreams while you sleep.

Too many regrets are whispered.

Foolish, dangerous thoughts upon meeting again a girl friend from forty years ago. Love and passion does not necessarily diminish with age.

How it feels to be hurt that much? How will you be able to celebrate your birthday?

Taking it as it comes with no expectations.
