A metaphor on life sorta.

An old man suffering from hypochondria and cynicism is sick of his lonely life and ready to show everyone that he is, in fact, going to die. He remains stubborn in his mission to find the proper method to dying until he realizes that he should have spent this time trying to find the proper method to living.

(2 Timothy 3:1-5) "But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.

In today’s stressful world, many people have lost all confidence in their abilities to perform and function. Many find themselves going through the motions of living without finding any joy in life. There seems to be no reason to live except to draw in a paycheck to meet bills and pay the taxes that take an increasing bite of income.

Accepting the Realities of this Life.

The onset of the rains after a long dry spell symbolizes a renewal of hope in the food chain. The long hibernating grass sprout up green leaves. Shrill sounds of crickets and birds fill the background. Emaciated cattle in the African Savanna will regain their flesh. Women and children within the Dinka and Nuer communities in Southern Sudan, Ankole in Uganda to the Maasai in Kenya and Tanzania celebrate the renewal within their homesteads as the men feel satisfied holding onto their staff. A sense of renewal fills the atmosphere. It is a fulfillment of hope.

I’m petrified to live out of my destiny. ‘cause we have been conditioned that it is wrong to flow out of success — even God given success.

In the area of politics, no promises can justifiably be fulfilled, considering that the mess left by a predecessor might not be easily swept off the path from which he had departed.

This is a poem about what happiness is. Just a quickie to end my day with the hope of uplifting what I had gone through. A poem to give me something to smile about.

Following your dreams is realistic: one person’s path – detours and all – to realizing dreams can come true if you work at it.
