A poem I wrote on my birthday.

What is so wrong with looking your age? True, our egos would be happy if we could all just stay looking as though we were 25, but looks aren’t going to extend our lifeline. We’re still only on this earth for a certain length of time and these wrinkles that make us cringe each time we look in a mirror are actually “proof lines” of having lived through many experiences in Life.

No marriage, no kids, and no house in the suburbs. So what does a guy with no ties have to get stressed about when he hits his 40s? Plenty.

Memories are great, aren’t they? Remembering the “good old days” is something we all enjoy, and is not necessarily a sign of “old age”.
