I would have to say this is a poem about someone who cant handle the painful memories of their past, and they let the past win,

A memory of a love that I lost, eighteen months of my life gone…it’s been nearly five months since it was all lost to me :’(

I didn’t know you at all.

There is something missing.

I remember all the important things that you said to me.

It is not always easy to carry on.

Sometimes you don’t realise what you have until it has gone.
