We live in very scary times. I am filled with the angst as I watch our financial institutions flounder and fail.

Sometimes I think until I get tired. Sometimes it seems as if I am mad. The doctors tell me it’s all in my mind but is it really of that kind? They see me looking fine but that’s just the cover of my pain. The worst part is, sometimes I get so depressed that I don’t even know myself and the funniest part is, I just don’t know why.

I was surprised to read in the morning paper, “90 year old woman celebrates her birthday by accepting her high school degree”.

I was inspired to write this poem after reading headline in paper, “90 year old woman gets high school diploma”.

Depression hurts both members of a relationship: with love on your side the battle to improvement strengthens the soul and allows the love to grow deeper.
