Every person is eager to please somebody else at some point in their life. It is more important to please yourself and to be happy with who you are. When you are happy with who you are, then the rude and snide remarks of others don’t matter or don’t seem to hurt anymore.

Gary August is back in this next installment of Fire Starter. In this story he goes into a school that he use to attend with an AK 47 and a Flame Thrower. In the school he hunts down all the teachers that were mean to him and blows them away. This story was inspired by the Red Lake shooting in Minnesota, but also that we’re entering a time in our world when kids don’t feel safe with other kids and it screws them up in society. Jerry August is such a guy who is screwed up, but reflects on that when he returns to the school.
