It’s time to remake a nursery rhyme. Today, I’m going to remake Humpty Dumpty.
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Looking at the folks at the shopping mall.
All the boys and girls smiled with glee
To see such a large egg playing with a Wii.
Now Humpty made motions with too much jerk.
The kids all laughed and gave Humpty a smirk.
But poor Humpty moved so much that he started to fall.
He landed very hard on a colorful beach ball.
Humpty cracked up after the fall.
He was cleaned up by a maintenance worker
And hauled down the hall.
The maintenance worker dumped Humpty
Into the trash.
He hit the bottom
With a thundering crash.
As for the Wii,
Peter Piper took it home.
He played all day long
All alone.
A poem about how easily things can change.

Continue ReadingThis is an original song that my friends seem to enjoy and all refer to as the “Humpty Dumpty Song”- the name stuck. In a way, this is my response to the idea that evil dwells in everyone and corruption is unavoidable.
