I miss my friends on Triond. We have been together so long, you seem like my good neighbors. I hope to be back with you soon to take up where I left off. I’m dipping my toes in the water for the last few days but it will still be awhile before I get into full swing. Before long I hope to be reading your articles and leaving comments. He took a long rough road but I am happy to say he is five years sober. I could never thank him enough for the lesson he taught me through his experience.

My oldest son — the boy in the story — was terribly angry with me for making it into a song, so I bring this to you at great risk. I sincerely hope that passage of years and having a child of his own will let him see the humor of the situation.
