This essay is a comparison of Mary Rowlandson’s captivity narrative and Native American trickster tales. They both focus on the central theme of food and this essay highlights the main supporting details in each story.

In the 1800’s east of the Sierra Nevada, lived a deprived group of Indians, They were considered the most deprived Indians in the entire United States.

Regroup: in part 7, the Shaman’s extended family learns that they gain strength from working as a team.
