When you have the need to have a hospital stay it is frightening and unknown. You are surrounded by strangers and away from home. It is very difficult for an adult but can be devastating for a child. But when you find an extraordinary children’s hospital it is an unforgettable and postive experience.

The following poem is from a collection of 41 written by me to try describing Huntington’s Disease (HD).

This is another one of my poems that could so easily be taken as applicable to caring in the generic sense.

This poem tries to convey the frustration held by many where society does not see "caring" of loved ones in the home as a job worthy of recognition. It’s sad that when our loved ones die and we no longer have a role, we not only have to cope with grief but have to start all over from scratch again.

It often means having given up careers and our own sense of identity. However, we have just had the toughest job in the world, somehow survived, but have nothing to show for it!

Change is never easy, but it is in our best interest to stretch and grow daily; as we pass through this life.

There are some many people experiencing hard times.

On September 11th, 2009 I gave my two week notice. My boss, co-workers, and all my patients were in shock of this news. My resignation read, ” I regret to notify you of my last day of work. It has been a pleasure working for this company over the past years, but at this time I am starting my own company and I need more time for this new venture”.

The President wants everyone to go back to school. We have a lot of single moms out there with no place to turn except to our government for help, which is understandable, but it has become a cycle. It is a cycle that must be broken!

This article is about how there is a new catch to finding employment in NYC. It basically outlines how it is becoming harder and harder for natives to find job placement during these tough times.
