This is a poem I wrote about an experience I had occur when I went back home to Ireland. Dublin was bright and sunny that day when this poor girl just landed in front of me pleading for money. At that every moment I thought of Swift’s essay, "A Modest Proposal" and then applied it and other Irish imagery inspired by other Irish literature to the creation of this poem.
