This is a poem that depicts a girl/woman who has lost love for herself in life. However; this poem can be analyzed in many different ways. It can also depict a man watching his woman leave while leaving him to pray for her to come back to him…where in the end; she does return. One must love their own self before they can truly love another with all of their heart and soul.
Sometimes when we become our own worst enemy we must set sail on our own until we are able to learn to love our own self with the love we wish and desire to feel from another.
