As Peter discovers Stephanie’s stolen luggage in the toilets of Victoria Station, he is surprised by the anger he feels and later by the resolution he makes to try and put right the years they have spent in a half-love. But, as they come ever closer to finally meeting, Stephanie does not share in his new intentions.

As Stephanie returns to London from her holiday in Norway, her husband Peter waits for her impatiently at Victoria Station. Switching from her perspective to his, it becomes clear that neither of them are looking forward to her return. But when Stephanie’s luggage is stolen, their views of their marriage change, leading to a heart-wrenching conclusion.

Five to eight and they had only moved a few meters from their last position. Obviously they were not going to reach Kuala Lumpur International Airport by eight p.m. James’ father thumped the wheel impatiently, muttering curses under his breath. His mother said that there was nothing that they could do except wait and hope that the traffic cleared soon.
