I was sitting in math class, naturally not understanding anything the teacher was talking about. So I took out my notebook and started scribbling ideas down. I noticed the wooden desk I was using, and the smell of maple syrup. I started to notice that I was the oldest one in the class, mainly because I had failed at math so much in life, and it started to bring on ideas about how I wouldn’t be in this situation if I had just learned what was important in life.
