This poem comes from the frustration of having to take medication and the side effects that accompany it. It illustrates the Catch 22 and the madness of meds… how they help you get well but add horrible side effects in the process. I wrote about this to explain my disease its pretty self explanatory but I was diagnosed when I was fourteen with conversion disorder and since then I’ve gone through periods of being unable to walk or move my hands and different types of paralysis. And being mentally ill I learned about people with different disorders. But I had to deal with being told by people there was nothing medically they could do for me.

Reformations need to be made to the mental health system in order to make it more efficient and treat patients more successfully.
