There is a belief that blue is the symbol of royalty. Blue is the colour of water and therefore of fertility. Blue is also the preferred colour of Sweden as Red is to Denmark which are both Scandinavian countries.

“Oh my God!” Father Adams brushed his hair with both his hands and they too were covered in blood. At first he though he may have injured himself rushing into the church, but this was not his blood.
