Three poems for the price of one.

Sijo is a Korean poetic form consisting of three lines averaging 14-16 syllables. The first line introduces a situation, a development or turn in line two and the third a twist and conclusion. The twist is presented in the first half of the final line – which could be a surprise in sound, meaning or some other poetic device.
